Calling All College Students: Time is Running Out to Register for FIRE’s Free Summer Conference

The due date for application to FIRE's first annual summer conference, "Free Speech vs. Speech Codes: Reclaiming Your Rights on Campus," is fast approaching. Students interested in attending should apply today before slots completely fill up.

The conference will take place from June 26th to 28th, 2008, at the Doubletree Hotel in Philadelphia. Famed journalist John Leo and Professor KC Johnson, coauthor of Until Proven Innocent: Political Correctness and the Shameful Injustices of the Duke Lacrosse Rape Case, are slated to give the keynote addresses.

Conference attendees will have an unprecedented opportunity to hear from some of the top free speech experts in the country. Speakers include Stanford Law professor Derek Shaffer, Alliance Defense Fund senior legal counsel Steven H. Aden, FIRE co-founder Harvey Silverglate, FIRE Director of Legal and Public Advocacy Samantha Harris, FIRE President Greg Lukianoff, Indoctrinate U producer Evan Maloney, and documentarian Andrew Marcus among others.
