Over the course of the last 14 years, FIRE has remained focused on our mission to end censorship and mandated political correctness on America’s college campuses. Since 1999, FIRE has grown and our programs have expanded, but our deep commitment to liberty has stayed the same.

In the early years of FIRE, a small staff would answer calls as they came in and work to win justice for individual students and professors. Today, with more than 20 employees, a network of more than 7,000 students, and thousands of supporters around the country, FIRE has a multitude of diverse and effective solutions in our repertoire.

This is only possible because of the dedication and generosity of thousands of Americans like you. Whether through defense work, education, lobbying, public awareness, or litigation, FIRE can now approach the problem on campus from all angles. We know this is a winning strategy, and FIRE’s many accomplishments this year, including this week’s developments, provide ample proof.

One of FIRE’s newest employees, Susan Kruth, recently took a camera behind the scenes of FIRE’s headquarters to create a fun “home video” that really helps sum up the different approaches behind our effort to change the culture on campus. These are the approaches that your support makes possible. If you haven’t yet, I hope you will support FIRE’s comprehensive strategy with a tax-deductible donation this year.
