FIRE’s Sean Clark Speaking at University of Wisconsin-Madison This Evening

Students and FIRE supporters in the Madison, Wisconsin, area are invited to hear FIRE Vice President of Operations Sean Clark speak at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (UW-Madison) tonight at 7 p.m. in Birge Hall B302.

UW-Madison’s Young Americans for Liberty chapter will be hosting Sean, whose nine years at FIRE and 2001 FIRE case (when he was chairman of the Penn State Young Americans for Freedom) make him no stranger to the threats that student rights face on campus!

Torch readers may remember UW–Madison YAL President Haley Sinklair, who was featured this past December in the FIRE Student Network’s Student Spotlight. Haley is working hard to promote free speech and student rights on campus, and this lecture is just one of several events that she and her chapter have put on this year! UW–Madison currently has a “red light” rating in FIRE’s Spotlight database, so there is plenty of work to be done.
