Greg Discusses Speech Codes in ‘Reason.tv’ Interview
At this year's FreedomFest conference, FIRE President Greg Lukianoff sat down for an interview with Matt Welch, editor-in-chief of Reason magazine, now available for viewing at Reason.tv.
In the brief interview, Greg talks about the prevalence of campus speech codes and their destructive effects, including the warping of students' conceptions of their First Amendment rights and the increasingly prevalent attitude that students have a right to shut down speech with which they disagree. Greg also discusses FIRE's ten years of combating speech codes, including our more than 150 victories at campuses around the country.
