Florida Readers: Watch WKMG-TV Local 6 Tonight at 6PM

Tonight, WKMG-TV Local 6 in central Florida will feature FIRE’s current case at the University of Central Florida (UCF) where the Student Handbook restricts freedom of expression to only four “free speech areas” on the entire UCF campus. The story will be featured on the 6:00 PM program and will also be available from the Local 6 website.

 

FIRE has successfully challenged “free speech zones” at a number of schools including West Virginia University, Seminole Community College in Florida, Citrus College in California, the University of North Carolina-Greensboro, Texas Tech University, and the University of Nevada at Reno. FIRE is also currently challenging the “free speech zone” policy at Clemson University.
