Help Students Read the Book That Launched the Movement

The Shadow University, penned by FIRE founders Alan Charles Kors and Harvey Silverglate at the height of the political correctness movement on campus, describes in detail the abuse of power and betrayal of individual rights all too common at our colleges and universities. Following its publication, Kors and Silverglate founded FIRE in response to hundreds of calls for help.

 

FIRE would like students and citizens across the country to read the book that launched the movement to turn the tide of campus censorship. We want to place copies of The Shadow University and the highly acclaimed Guides to Student Rights on Campus into university and public libraries across the country.
