This policy applies to situations where the alleged harasser is an applicant for employment, an employee, a guest, invitee or licensee, or a contractor of the University and where the complainant is an applicant to an educational program, a student, an applicant for employment, an employee, guest, invitee or licensee, or a contractor of the University.

Registration of a mass gathering must be made forty-eight (48) hours prior to the event in office of Student Activities or with the Dean of Student Affairs. The appropriate form must be filled out at that time. The purpose of the proposed rally or demonstration and the route of all moving demonstrations, rallies, or parades must be discussed and approved in advance by the Dean of Students, or his/her designee.

Organization Recognition Form
Every student organization recognized by Marshall University is expected to be free to select its membership upon the basis of individual merit without regard to race, gender, color, ethnic origin, religious affiliation, age, physical or psychological handicap, or sexual orientation. This policy applies to all student organizations recognized by Marshall University with the exception of those organizations specifically exempted by virtue of Sec. 804 (b) of the Higher Education Act. Marshall University reserves the right to consider withdrawal of recognition to any organization found, in due process, to be in violation of said policy.
