Code of Student Conduct 07-08
The term Discriminatory Harassment means:
1. Behavior of any type (oral, written, graphic, physical) that creates a "hostile environment." Hostile environment harassment includes, but is not limited to, unwelcome comments or conduct that have the purpose of unreasonably interfering with an individual's work or academic performance, participation in a sponsored university activity, or creating an intimidating, hostile or offensive working or learning environment that a reasonable person would find threatening or intimidating;
2. The behavior is directed at persons because of their race, color, national or ethnic origin, religion, gender (whether or not sexual in nature), age, disability, veteran status, or sexual orientation, unless otherwise permitted or required by applicable law [....]

Unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature constitute sexual harassment when

Such conduct may include, but is not limited to: explicit or implicit threats, including gestures which place a person in reasonable fear of unwelcome physical contact, harm or death; following a person about in a public place or to or from his or her residence; making remarks in a public place to a specific person(s) which are by common usage lewd, obscene, expose a person(s) to public hatred or that can reasonably be expected to have a tendency to cause acts of violence by the person(s) to whom the remark is addressed; communicating through electronic mail or other electronic means, or anonymously by voice or graphic means or making a telephone call whether or not a conversation ensues.

Internet Acceptable Use Policy 07-08
As a Windstream customer, you may not:

Procedures Regarding Speech and Distribution of Literature in Public Areas 07-08
No speaker or distributor of literature shall harass anyone. A person is guilty of harassment when, with intent to harass, annoy or alarm another person, he or she:

(c) In a public place, makes an offensively coarse utterance, gesture, or display, or addresses abusive language to any person present; or
(d) Follows a person in or about a public place or places; or
(e) Engages in a course of conduct or repeatedly commits acts which alarm or seriously annoy such other person and which serve no legitimate purpose.
This procedure applies to individuals and groups, not part of the campus community, who wish to engage in speech activities (including leafleting) within the demarcated boundaries of the University.
Distribution of literature and public speaking will occur during weekday business hours, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., while most students are on campus. The registration form allows the individual or group to propose the date and time of a visit of up to three hours.
The University has identified certain campus public areas where public speech and distribution of literature will be permitted. All speakers and distributors of literature will be assigned to those areas.
Residence Hall Policies: Sign Posting Policy 07-08
If postings are of an offensive or derogatory nature or attack individuals, they should be brought to the Housing Office and will be reported to the proper authorities.
The following guidelines have been established to ensure that flyers are posted in a consistent manner in all residential areas:
