Chris Perez

Program Officer

Chris Perez graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2005 with a B.A. in English and a minor in classical studies. During his four years at Penn, Chris swam distance freestyle for the varsity swim team and was voted captain his senior year. Chris has interned in the editorial department at SmartBrief, Inc., as a news researcher and brief writer and has also interned in the editorial department at W. W. Norton Publishing, where he worked on manuscripts ranging from an analysis of free speech in wartime to a Sherlock Holmes anthology to a tribute to the Baobab tree. At the end of his senior year, the College at Penn awarded Chris the Charles W. Burr Book Prize for his independent study of short pieces of fiction and nonfiction. His interests include Russian literature, writing, and economics.
