Emily Guidry

Media Director

A native of Houma, Louisiana, Emily C. Guidry graduated from Loyola University New Orleans School of Law in May 2005 and earned an M.A. summa cum laude in Communications from Loyola in December 2006. For her master’s thesis, Emily examined the state of student press law at public universities in light of the controversial 2005 Hosty v. Carter decision. As an undergraduate at Nicholls State University, Emily received two B.A.s magna cum laude in Mass Communication and English. She also served as managing editor and editor of The Nicholls Worth, the university’s independent student newspaper, worked for the campus television news show, and played on Nicholls’ women’s tennis team.
