Peter Bonilla

Program Associate, Finance and Operations

Peter Bonilla joined FIRE in April 2008 after serving for three seasons as the literary manager of Philadelphia's InterAct Theatre Company, where he was intensely involved in the development and production of new plays confronting the pressing political, social, and cultural issues of our time. Also a playwright, Peter received a 2008 individual creative artist fellowship from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, and his play A HUMAN EQUATION was developed and presented in a staged reading at the 2008 PlayPenn New Play Development Conference, featuring Academy Award-nominated actor David Strathairn. Peter was born in Washington, D.C., and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with B.A. degrees in theater arts and economics. He is thrilled to join FIRE and to help the cause of protecting freedom of speech and individual liberties on America's campuses. When he is not helping to manage the FIRE office or working on his playwriting, he is usually busy taking care of his two rescued greyhounds.
