The Interns Have Arrived
Last week, FIRE welcomed the 2006 Summer Interns. We have a great group of 11 interns from across the country. They are working hard and, throughout the summer, will share their opinions on FIRE cases and their stories of censorship with readers of The Torch.
FIRE’s internship program is an invaluable experience both for our interns, who learn about our issues and about how an advocacy group works, and for the staff of FIRE, who work with students all year but only get to see them daily during the summer. A hearty welcome goes out to all of our interns, and a resounding thank-you goes out to FIRE’s donors, who generously support this invaluable program.
