2018 FIRE Faculty Conference: proposals due April 30!
Mark your calendars: There are just two and a half weeks left to submit your proposals for the 2018 FIRE Faculty Conference! FIRE welcomes paper and poster proposals from faculty and advanced graduate students working in any discipline or at any institution. Please see the conference’s call for proposals for more details. We’ll be accepting proposals through Monday, April 30.
We look forward to once again hosting a faculty symposium to discuss and debate a wide array of topics related to academic freedom and freedom of speech in higher education. Conference presentations will include original research, critical narratives, and advocacy strategies. The conference will take place from Oct. 11–13 in Chicago, at Loyola University Chicago’s downtown Water Tower campus.
Those accepted to present papers at the conference will receive an honorarium of $3,000 in addition to reimbursement for travel and lodging. Those presenting posters will receive reimbursement for travel and lodging.
More information and a form for those interested in applying to attend the conference will be available later this spring. If you have any questions or would like more information, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
