A native Californian, Anelise earned a B.A. in political science from California Polytechnic State University, a J.D. from Pepperdine Caruso School of Law, and is a member of the State Bar of California. During law school, Anelise interned at the U.S. Department of Education in D.C., where she worked on due process-related issues. Having enjoyed D.C., she decided to return to the East Coast and worked as an FSA contractor for the U.S. Department of Justice before finding her home at FIRE as a Program Officer with the Policy Reform department. Outside of FIRE, Anelise enjoys hunting for vintage treasures at secondhand stores, drinking good coffee, spending time with her dog, and watching The Sound of Music.
