An [Act of Intolerance] is defined as any act directed against any person or group as a result of their personage including but not limited to race, color, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, ability, or veteran’s status and that has the effect of creating an offensive, demeaning, intimidating, or hostile environment for that person in particular or others who may see, hear, or otherwise witness the act. Furthermore, students’ use of epithets or names in a derogatory manner will be constituted as an [Act of Intolerance].
The following are Acts of Intolerance and are
considered unacceptable: … C. Posting, painting, engraving or otherwise
displaying any sign, slogan or symbol on

Acts of intolerance based on race, religion, color, sex, national origin, disability, age, veteran status, or sexual orientation will not be accepted at the University of Minnesota, Morris. Reported cases will be fully investigated and those individuals found to be in violation may be sanctioned to the full extent of University policy.
Acts of intolerance are behaviors that are threatening, intimidating, or offensive and are motivated by bias toward a person or group of people based on their gender, race, color, religion, national origin, and/or sexual orientation.
