Attention, Pennsylvania Attorneys: Last Chance to Register for Friday's CLE in Philadelphia

I'd like to quickly remind all Pennsylvania attorneys that the deadline for registering for FIRE's next Continuing Legal Education course, to be held this Friday in Philadelphia, is rapidly approaching.

Our CLE, titled "Free Speech 101: Protecting Free Expression and the First Amendment at our Nation's Colleges and Universities," will take place at the Omni Hotel at Independence Park this Friday, December 10, from 2 to 4 p.m.

My colleague Samantha Harris and I will conduct a thorough review of the state of the law regarding freedom of speech on both public and private college campuses. We'll be tracing the evolution of the protections for student speech, discussing the threat presented by speech codes and how such regulations have fared in court, and discussing with attendees how attorneys can help protect the rights of students and faculty members at our nation's colleges and universities. As always, we'll be happy to take questions.

Our course has been approved by the Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education Board for two hours of substantive law, practice, and procedure CLE credit. The course is appropriate for both newly admitted and experienced attorneys. Registration costs $40, and financial aid is available. Members of FIRE's Legal Network may attend free of charge.

To register online, visit our CLE page, or simply click below.

I look forward to seeing you on Friday.
