Alex is a journalist and an attorney who tells stories about civil liberties on America’s college campuses.
She earned her J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School, has a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, and has trained at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. A proud native of Tucson, Arizona, she earned her undergraduate degree in journalism and French from the University of Arizona. Between college and graduate school, she was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Madagascar, where she taught English in rural, underserved schools. Alex is licensed to practice law in New York, the District of Columbia, and Wisconsin. She has worked as a lawyer in private practice, and as counsel for Wisconsin's Dane County Circuit Court and Fiskars Brands, Inc.
She lives outside Madison, Wisconsin, with her husband and their three children.
