David Deerson

David is a 2013 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) with a B.A. in philosophy and history and a minor in philosophy, politics, and economics (PPE). While in school, he served as president of the UNC Young Americans for Liberty, with whom he won YAL’s national free speech activism award. His undergraduate activism also earned him a spot in FIRE’s Prometheus Society. David joins FIRE after gaining experience working professionally in college outreach and activism coordination at Students For Liberty.
