Josh graduated from Harvard Law School in 2020, where he developed and expanded programming for Banned Books Week and created and co-founded Open Inquiry, a forum for students of any background, identity, or viewpoint to discuss and debate any topic. While in law school, Josh worked for the United States Senate Committee on the Judiciary, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Right to Privacy, FIRE, and other civil liberties organizations. He now joins FIRE as a legislative fellow.

Josh received his undergraduate degree in English literature from Hunter College at the City University of New York and serves on the Advisory Council to the Free Speech Union.
