Tyler was born and raised in the Buckeye State where he earned his B.A. in history and political science from Ashland University in 2019 and graduated as an Ashbrook Scholar. Prior to joining FIRE, he was the creative projects manager for Ashbrook. In this role, Tyler oversaw the organization’s multimedia and creative content including “The American Idea” podcast. He is an avid runner and cinephile and has published several articles on American political history and popular culture. Tyler won the Charles E. Parton Award for his scholarship on the political thought of Abraham Lincoln. He enjoys exploring National Parks, spending time with friends and family, cheering on Joe Burrow, and supporting his hometown baseball team, the Cleveland Guardians.
