Brooklyn College Sued by Former Student over Involuntary Psychiatric Commitment

Chinemerem Eze, a former student of Brooklyn College, has sued the college for involuntarily committing her to a psychiatric hospital after she complained to administrators about her landlord. After being hospitalized for two weeks against her will, according to Eze, she was not allowed to take her finals, causing her to lose her $65,000 scholarship to the college. Her complaint that her landlord had placed a hidden camera in her apartment was later proven to be true.
