Captain David French Heads to Iraq
As loyal Torch readers know, former FIRE President David French stepped down in 2005 in order to join the U.S. Army Reserve. After months of waiting, David announced yesterday on Phi Beta Cons that his departure for Iraq is likely imminent.
David is a dear friend, and I, along with FIRE’s entire staff, have the greatest respect for him, his courage, his service for the cause of liberty in general, and his service to his country, in particular. Take care, David, be safe, and be sure to come by the FIRE office when you are back home!
