FIRE Featured in ‘New York Times,’ ‘Boston Globe,’ and ‘Chronicle of Higher Education’

FIRE began this week with prominent mentions in three major publications. First, Sunday’s edition of The New York Times featured a compelling retelling of FIRE’s recent victory for freedom of speech and religious liberty at William Paterson University. (Please see The Torch for more details on this story.)

Then, on Monday, Cathy Young’s op-ed in The Boston Globe pointed out FIRE’s work in vigorously combating campus censorship of anti-war protestors. And finally, a substantial Robin Wilson article in the current Chronicle of Higher Education cites several FIRE cases to draw attention to the way many education programs are using “dispositions” evaluations as unconstitutional ideological litmus tests.
