FIRE Reaches 2,000 Followers on Twitter

We are pleased to announce that FIRE has surpassed the 2,000-follower mark on the micro-blogging site Twitter. Just over a year ago, FIRE added Twitter to our media arsenal. We post new blogs and press releases to our Twitter feed as well as articles of interest to our followers. And our followers have faithfully retweeted our work and spread the word about the state of free speech on campus.

Twitter has been not only another tool in getting the word out, but also an effective means for students and concerned citizens to bring episodes of censorship on campus to FIRE's attention. In fact, we first discovered the dire situation at the University of California, San Diego, through a concerned student on Twitter.

Please join FIRE on Twitter and help us combat censorship on campus!
