A student shall be free of sexual harassment by University faculty, staff, supervisors and employees. Sexual harassment--a form of sex discrimination--includes unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, or other verbal or physical actions of a sexual nature when submission to such conduct is made explicitly or implicitly a term or condition of the student's status in a course, program, or activity; or is used as a basis for academic or other decisions affecting such student; or when such conduct has the purpose or effect of substantially interfering with the student's academic performance, or creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive academic environment.
