FIRE’s First CFN Conference Starts Thursday

Thursday kicks off the start to FIRE's first Campus Freedom Network Conference, where fifty students from all across the United States will meet in Philadelphia to interact with FIRE staff and prominent free speech advocates. For three days, these students will learn about the freedoms to which they are entitled on their campuses and ways in which they can ensure that their colleges live up to their obligations and promises.

The content of the conference promises to be as varied as the attendees themselves. Sessions will range from philosophical discussions on the origins of liberty to ways of using new media in the fight for freedom on campus. As you can see, there is a lot packed into only three days!

This conference was open only to registered student members of the CFN. For college students and faculty members interested in future events of this kind, I would encourage you to register for the CFN. We promise to keep you abreast of FIRE's most recent cases as well as events hosted by the CFN. All new student and faculty registrants will also receive a free FIRE t-shirt.

Stay posted in the weeks that follow for more videos, photos, and podcasts about this latest FIRE venture!
