FIRE’s Greg Lukianoff to Discuss Free Expression in Louisiana

On Wednesday, FIRE President and CEO Greg Lukianoff will speak to a group of K–12 students and members of the public at Metairie Park Country Day School in Louisiana about censorship and free expression in a talk titled “Free Speech: The Foundation for All Liberty.”

The talk is part of the ongoing Free Market lecture series, which invites speakers to offer their thoughts on free markets and free enterprise.

Greg’s presentation will draw on themes from his 2012 book, Unlearning Liberty: Campus Censorship and the End of American Debate, and his influential Atlantic magazine article, “The Coddling of the American Mind,” co-authored in September 2015 with NYU professor and psychologist Jonathan Haidt.

The lecture will be held in the Metairie Park Country Day School’s Weinmann Auditorium, located at 300 Park Road, Metairie, Louisiana, at 6:30 p.m.

Stop by early for the chance to meet Greg, starting at 6:00 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public, so all those who are interested in attending are welcome. No RSVP is required.
