FIRE’s Guides, Still Essential for the Spring Semester
Last November, I wrote that FIRE's Guides to Student Rights on Campus were "essential fall reading." They remain no less essential this spring as the continuing threat to freedom at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and FIRE's Red Alert schools attests.
FIRE's Guides program consists of five volumes covering the gamut of college students' rights on campus.
Hard copies of all the Guides are free to students upon request. PDFs of the Guides are also available for free download. Universities or groups interested in distributing large quantities of the Guides for workshops or other activities should inquire at guides@thefire.org.
