Former NSA Senior Executive Indicted for Violating the Espionage Act

Thomas Drake, a former National Security Agency senior executive, is indicted on 10 charges, including violating the Espionage Act for the unauthorized disclosure of top secret defense documents to a reporter.   

On June 9, 2011, the charges against Drake were dropped after he accepted a plea bargain to plead guilty to one misdemeanor for accessing government documents beyond his access level.
