Get Your Tickets Now for the World Premiere of ‘Can We Take a Joke?’

We’re just two weeks away from the world premiere of the new FIRE-supported feature-length documentary, Can We Take a Joke? at DOC NYC, America’s largest documentary film festival.

There will be two chances for you to catch a screening of the film—Friday, November 13, and Monday, November 16. Friday’s event will feature special guest appearances from comedians Karith Foster and Gilbert Gottfried. Following both screenings there will be a panel Q&A with the filmmakers, including Ted Balaker of Korchula Productions and FIRE president and CEO and executive producer of the film, Greg Lukianoff.

Narrated by Christina Pazsitzky and starring some of America’s favorite comedians—Gilbert Gottfried, Penn Jillette, Lisa Lampanelli, Jim Norton, Adam Carolla, Heather McDonald, and Karith Foster—the film explores the collision between comedy, censorship, and outrage culture on and off campus. It’s made in partnership with DKT Liberty Project and in association with Reason TV.

Tickets are $17 and can be purchased on DOC NYC’s website. To learn more about Can We Take a Joke?, visit the film’s Facebook page, follow its Twitter account, and support FIRE’s efforts to bring the film to campuses across the country.

We hope to see you there!
