Greg on Philadelphia’s WHYY ‘Radio Times’ This Monday!

FIRE President Greg Lukianoff will be appearing live as a guest on the popular Delaware Valley radio show Radio Times with host Marty Moss-Coane at 10:15 a.m. this Monday.

The hour-long show will focus on the recent Rutgers University controversy in which former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice was slated to address the 2014 graduating class, but backed out after protests by a group of Rutgers students and faculty put Rice in a position where she felt as though she would detract from the students’ graduation experience. This incident and the many others like it are part of what FIRE calls “disinvitation season,” when commencement speakers are either blatantly disinvited by universities due to controversy over their viewpoints or pressured by certain individuals within university communities to disinvite themselves. A more in-depth critique of disinvitation season can be found in Greg’s book, Unlearning Liberty: Campus Censorship and the End of American Debate.

Rutgers history professor Rudolph Bell will also be a guest on the show.

FIRE fans in the Delaware Valley listening area can tune in at 10:15 on Monday morning to 90.9 FM. The show will also be live-streamed on the WHYY website. You won’t want to miss it!
