Racial harassment is defined as: any action on the part of an individual or group that demeans or abuses another individual or group because of racial or ethnic background and/or that creates an intimidating, humiliating, or hostile environment.

Such actions may include but are not restricted to using racial or ethnic epithets, making racially or ethnically derogatory remarks, using racial or ethnic stereotypes, or using images or symbols that are racially or ethnically offensive.

Students, both when on campus and off campus, should refrain from disorderly conduct, which includes any actions that are obscene, disruptive, or which unreasonably disturb others.

Harassment is defined as treatment that deprives a person of his or her dignity or humanity. This includes, but is not limited to, verbal and/or physical abuse, derogatory jokes and remarks, and the use of stereotypes or offensive and intimidating images or symbols.

Such actions as cat calls, obscene phone calls, obscene gestures, and other unwanted and/or threatening written or oral communication are also considered harassment.
