Interstate Theatre Circuit v. Dallas

By April 28, 1968

In Interstate Theatre Circuit v. Dallas, the Supreme Court discards an age-classification system enforced by Dallas, but hints that it would accept such a system under a more carefully drawn statute. At issue in this case was the distribution of the film “Viva Maria” which features Brigitte Bardot and Jeanne Moreau as they journey with a circus through Latin America, invent the strip-tease, and become revolutionary fighters.
