Introducing FIRE Legal Intern Mary Zoeller

FIRE is proud to introduce you to another new member of our FIRE family, summer 2016 legal intern Mary Zoeller.

Mary is a rising third year student at Villanova University’s Charles Widger School of Law. At Villanova, she is a member of the Jeffrey S. Moorad Sports Law Journal and serves as a managing editor of Student Works, a role that requires significant substantive and technical editing of student articles. In the fall of 2016, her article “Gray Area: Court of Arbitration for Sport Says Neigh to Reconsidering Strict Liability in Equestrian Sport” was selected for publication and will appear in Volume XXIII, Issue 2, of the Jeffrey S. Moorad Sports Law Journal. Mary is also an active member of the Federalist Society, having just served a year-long term as president of the Villanova chapter.

Mary earned undergraduate degrees in political science and religion at Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. Due to her undergraduate coursework, she is interested in topics at the intersection of religion and free expression.

Mary is originally from Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. In her free time, she enjoys yoga and being with her golden retriever, Colby.

We’re glad to have Mary on board!
