It’s the kind of thing that school counselors are always warning about: Offensive postings on social media can hurt your chances for college admission and employment.
This spring, students got a crash course in this reality with news that Harvard rescinded acceptances for at least 10 prospective students because of sexually explicit memes and messages, sometimes targeting minority groups, in a private Facebook group chat . . . .
