Join FIRE for trivia and jazz at the Kurt Vonnegut Museum & Library’s new home!

Want to prove your knowledge of the First Amendment and controversial books? Join us for a night of jazz and trivia run by FIRE’s own Director of Targeted Advocacy, Sarah McLaughlin, and me at the Kurt Vonnegut Museum & Library’s new space at 543 Indiana Avenue in Indianapolis on Friday, Sept. 27.

In honor of Banned Books Week, also known as Freedom to Read Week, we’ll be kicking off the museum’s Friday night event at 6 p.m. with a game of trivia (doors open at 5 p.m.). The night will end with a swinging modern jazz performance from the talented Emerson Connection.

Beer and wine will be available for purchase and the event will have food from an Indy favorite, Bluebeard.

Prizes will be awarded in a round of speed questions, to the top scoring team, and to the team with the best name (determined using strict criteria, such as making us laugh).

If you are in the Indianapolis area or a Vonnegut fan that needs an excuse to visit the incredible museum and library, join us on Sept. 27!

Tickets are available on Eventbrite, from $15 for students to $20 for the general public. Tickets for the full week’s programming are also available. Doors open at 5 p.m. for a sneak peek of the new building with the trivia night beginning at 6 p.m.
