Dear Peter:I am writing to inform you that you are on leave with pay until the term of your appointment expires on June 15, 2011. You will not teach class for the rest of this term and you will not be offered another appointment after that date.
You should return all university property in your possession, including keys, to the dean’s office no later than May 13, 2011. Your access to university computing services, including email, has been terminated. Except to return university property as described above, for the remainder of the term of your appointment, you must not visit the college or contact faculty, staff, or students. If you need to retrieve personal items or interact with faculty, staff, or students, please contact me or Dr. Cynthia Anderson, department head, to make those arrangements.
You may wish to consult with the employee assistance program, Cascade Centers, for career and transition counseling; their phone number is 1-800-433-2320. Ernie Pressman, UO Benefits Administrator (346-2967), and his staff can provide you information regarding health insurance and other benefits.
