FIRE has developed a series of free-to-use modules, videos, and other resources for universities to utilize when teaching incoming students about their free speech rights and the principles behind the First Amendment.
FIRE commissioned College Pulse to survey more than 37,000 students at 159 colleges about their perceptions and experiences regarding free speech on campus.
The current research reveals that since 2015 targeting incidents are on the rise and are increasingly coming from within academia itself — from other scholars and especially from undergraduate students.
