FIRE Regional Conference
This special, one-day event offers students a crash course in their right to free expression. Attendees at FIRE’s Regional Conference will learn about the history of free speech in higher education and the contemporary struggle against speech codes. FIRE staff will work with students to develop winning strategies for protecting freedom of expression at their colleges and universities.

The FIRE Regional Conference will take place at the University of Colorado, Boulder on Saturday, April 13, 2019.
What are we doing?
The conference agenda includes a review of the principles of free speech, the parameters of First Amendment law, and the best strategies for campus action. FIRE staffers will educate students about the First Amendment and provide practical lessons about how how students can successfully stand up for their rights on campus.
Attendees will be treated to three meals throughout the day. FIRE will also pay a stipend of up to $300 for travel costs.
