Summer conference application deadline extended

Didn’t get a chance to apply for the 2019 FIRE Summer Conference? No problem!

The application deadline has been extended to June 28. Summer is a busy time of year, and the FIRE Student Network team wants to ensure everyone has a chance to apply for this unique conference.

The free speech conference will take place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, July 19-21, 2019. It will kick off on Friday afternoon and end with lunch on Sunday.

We welcome current students at U.S. colleges and universities, including graduate students and incoming freshmen, to attend our conference. Housing and meals will be provided for all attendees. FIRE will also pay a stipend of up to $300 for travel costs. Students must attend the entirety of the conference to be eligible for travel reimbursement.

At the conference, you can expect to hear from renowned professors Randall Kennedy and Nadine Strossen, as well as FIRE staff members, including FIRE President and CEO Greg Lukianoff. The conference will feature dynamic and interactive workshops, and each student will leave with a checklist of action items to take FIRE back to their campus.
