Tell us about your campus activism and win!

Students from across the country and ideological spectrum have signed up to take action on campus with the resources provided in FIRE’s Commit to Expression toolkit.

The toolkit provides students with everything they need to work towards the adoption of a free speech policy statement at their schools and to educate the campus community about the principles of free speech.

Over the course of this past semester, students have utilized FIRE’s resources — including sample letters to administrators, sample student government resolutions, downloadable graphics, and step-by-step guidance on effective campus activism — to plan and host free speech-themed events, invite FIRE experts to speak on their campuses, launch Chicago Statement petitions, host letter-writing drives, write op-eds, meet with campus administrators, and much more.

As a way to honor students who best distinguish themselves through their efforts, we are offering a number of incredible prizes. Tell us about your efforts to educate your campus community about free speech to be entered into the running!

FIRE will announce the winners on Dec. 21, 2018. Students should report their results by Dec. 15.
