sending a communication or using electronic information resources, including webpages, to discriminate against or illegally harass, defame, offend, or threaten individuals or organizations, or to engage in other illegal conduct or conduct that violates Institute policy.

The use of computer systems, telecommunications facilities, networks or other electronic resources of the institution for the following purposes is deemed unacceptable: … To abuse, defame, harass or threaten another individual or group. … Other unauthorized acts or actions not in accordance with University policies, or not in the best interests of Clarion University.

Unacceptable Use

Examples of unacceptable use include, but not limited to, the following:

* Any illegal or inappropriate use of 4CNet, or use in support of such activities, is prohibited. Illegal use shall be defined as use which violates state, or federal law. Inappropriate use shall be defined as a violation of the goals, purpose and intended use of the network. This includes, but is not limited to, the following: stalking others, supporting partisan political activities, transmitting or originating any unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, or obscene communications, or any communications where the message or its transmission or distribution, would constitute or would encourage conduct that is a criminal offense or would give rise to civil liability.

Use of LU web services and website to inflict mental harassment, engage in hazing, or engage in any other intentional conduct that is extreme or outrageous, or calculated to cause severe embarrassment, humiliation, shame, fright, grief or intimidation is strictly prohibited.
