Last month, Azhar Majeed, Director of FIRE’s Individual Rights Education Program, debated Jeremy Waldron, a New York University law professor and author of The Harm in Hate Speech, about whether the United States should adopt a European-style ban on “hate speech.” The November 6 debate was moderated by Boston Globe reporter Hiawatha Gray and co-presented by the Ford Hall Forum and the Suffolk University Forensics Team.
