Perry received his bachelor’s degree in history and Jewish studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz. While at UCSC, he wrote and served as managing editor for the Leviathan Jewish Journal and represented the publication at the campus-wide Student Media Council. Since graduating, he has written and edited for a variety of local and regional newspapers and magazines across California. He was drawn to FIRE because of its mission to protect freedom of speech and expression in higher education. In his free time, Perry enjoys reading, cycling, and ultimate frisbee.
