Emory’s policy prohibits discriminatory harassment of a non-sexual nature, which includes verbal, physical, or graphic conduct that denigrates or shows hostility or aversion toward an individual or group on the basis of race, color, religion, ethnic or national origin, gender, genetic information, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, veteran’s status, or any factor that is a prohibited consideration under applicable law, and that is so severe and/or pervasive it: ... Has the purpose or effect of creating an intimidating, hostile, or offensive employment, educational, or living environment; or Has the purpose or effect of unreasonably interfering with an individual’s work performance or a student’s academic performance.
