FIRE in Boston Today, at Rutgers Tomorrow for ‘Freedom of Speech or the Tyranny of Silence?’ Panel Series

Tomorrow, Flemming Rose’s “Freedom of Speech or the Tyranny of Silence?” panel will be at Rutgers University and will feature FIRE Executive Director Robert Shibley as one of its panelists. The panel will also include the Ayn Rand Institute’s Onkar Ghate, and Gregory Salmieri, a philosophy fellow at The Anthem Foundation, will be moderating the event.
The “Freedom of Speech or the Tyranny of Silence?” series focuses on the future of free speech, the principles that undergird the freedom of speech, the right to offend, and the concepts of “trigger warnings” and hate speech.
And in case you missed our post yesterday, those in the Boston area can attend the panel tonight, where FIRE will be represented by co-founder and chairman of our Board of Trustees Harvey Silverglate.
