FIRE previously announced that we would be taking our annual Faculty Conference to Boston this fall. Today I’m excited to reveal our conference venue: FIRE will be holding our 2019 conference at Boston University. The 2019 Faculty Conference will take place from Oct. 31–Nov. 2, 2019.
As with our previous conferences, our 2019 faculty conference will gather a diverse group of faculty, brought together by a shared interest in addressing the modern challenges to academic freedom in American higher education. Our call for proposals is still open through May 31, and we highly encourage interested faculty to apply! Faculty who are selected will receive an honorarium of $3,000 for their completed papers and presentations. For more details and for the complete text of our call for proposals, visit our 2019 conference page. Faculty can also check out our faculty resources page and join our faculty network for continued updates from FIRE.
We’re excited to come to Boston this fall, and hope to see you there!
