In Which I Tell a University of Chicago Law Prof He’s Dead Wrong on Free Speech
University of Chicago law professor Eric Posner says the U.S. overvalues free speech. You can imagine our reaction to that here at FIRE. We only wish free speech were as "overvalued" as Posner seems to believe, at least on college campuses (where Professor Posner just happens to work. Coincidence? I think not.). Posner writes that other countries "might have a point" when they reject what they see as free speech absolutism from the U.S. Is he right? I say "heck no" in The Daily Caller today. So who's got the better argument? Read our columns and decide for yourself!
