FIRE Welcomes Emily Buck to Staff
FIRE is thrilled to welcome Emily Buck to our staff as a program officer for campus outreach. Emily joins us with an accomplished background in student activism, and she will help us expand our crucial work with students, faculty, and alumni to challenge the culture of censorship on campus.
Emily earned her B.A. in political science with a minor in studio art in 2011 from James Madison University, one of the few schools FIRE rates as "green light." During her time at JMU, she served as the chairman of the College Republicans and interned for the United States Senate, as well as Regnery Publishing. After graduation, she worked on campus outreach programs at the Intercollegiate Studies Institute. We are excited that she is bringing her experience and talents to promote student rights with FIRE.
Welcome, Emily!
