Happy Thanksgiving
Everyone here at FIRE would like to wish our Torch readers a very happy Thanksgiving filled with family, friends, and of course, food. Unfortunately, Thanksgiving isn’t quite so happy for everyone this year: right now, there are students heading home for break knowing that they face an uncertain future upon their return to campus, students whose entire academic careers are in serious jeopardy simply because they exercised their right to free speech in a way that someone else found offensive. So please keep those students in your thoughts, and please help FIRE help them get their lives back on track.
This will be our last post of the week, as our offices are closed tomorrow and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday. We’ll see you on Monday!
